Resetting your Remote Desktop password can be accomplished quickly and easily.
Log into your server via a Remote Desktop Connection, by navigating to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories ->Communications -> Remote Desktop Connection.

Enter the IP specific address of your server next to the Computer field, ‘ServerAdmin’, in the Username field, and your password. Domain should be left blank. Once entered, click on Connect.

Once the connection is established, right-click on My Computer, and select Manage.

Click the plus sign next to Local Users and Groups to expand it, and then click on the Users folder. You should now see a list on the right of all current users within the system. Find your ServerAdmin username on the right.

Right-click the ServerAdmin username and select Set Password.

Click Proceed to continue with resetting the password.

Enter your desired password and click OK. You are free to set the password to anything you wish, however we do recommend setting a multi-character, alpha-numeric, case-sensitive password for increased security, as theServerAdmin username is granted Administrative rights and has full control over the system.

You should now receive a message confirming the password was changed, and will take effect the next time you attempt to connect to the server via Remote Desktop. Please note this password change for your records.
